Raising enough Pokémon to fill an entire sanctuary was a lot of work. Rewarding work, but work nonetheless. With so many Pokémon, including some that she had forged special bonds with, some didn't get the limelight they deserved. This season, Shalin sought to resolve that issue, bringing some of her newer and lesser-used Pokémon to the heights of Route 111, near the entrance to the Great Desert.

The Captain, dressed in her Flygon SYGNA SUIT, slithered back and forth across the rocky wastes astride Rumble the Arbok, one of her newest Pokémon. The giant was closer to the size of an Onix than an average Arbok, which was what make using the poison-type as a mount possible in the first place. Flanking her were Jugan, a Serperior she had raised when she first came to Hoenn, but neglected over other Pokémon she had captured in Petalburg Woods before she made her home there, as well as Lathiel, a Type: Null that kept unwanted wild Pokémon at bay by presence alone.

Suddenly, a hissing noise echoed from behind Shalin, her hair standing on end as Rumble's large rattle began to shake at high speed. "What's up, Rumble?" she asked the on-edge snake as she did her best to adapt to the alien-feeling motion. She had taken to the backs of some strange Pokémon before, but this type of vibration was completely different from anything she had been exposed to before!
